My Mid-Age Pa
I see my father in the wrinkled, worn-out, cotton slacks of
the middle-aged man ordering coffee with the one friend he has left.

Train to Nowhere
Nomadic spirits,
contemplating the next move.
Jumping on trains,
No permits or chains
Only stories to claim.
Back pack on, no map
Moving forward,
left no tracks.
Short, sweet, with accidental rhythms.
Write on wrappers
To the hum of train track drums.
Inspired by the heat of rays that beat the cold of
being told that:
Head strong in this journey was uncertainty untold.
Nomad hearts know what’s up with the other
Whose bohemian hallucinations
Laugh at bordered stations.
Squares, and bold lightning stares from those
Consumed by glares of normalcy.
They both share a look of the utmost reality.
Crows fly and crow’s feet don’t lie from lack of SPV
ties….
And the train keeps chumming…back to the beginning.
Permit or not, chain gang knots and ticking clocks.
Haves and have nots,
the wills and will nots will...will remain to claim
the endless cycle of tracks and trains and
literaries dazed by the inspiration of a ray,
on a cold nomadic day.
You say nomadic day;
come, come away.
come, come away.

Adjectives
And so supposed right ones rite the things that our written word should right...Is it age, experience, inner might or simply sight of what's concise in our destined manifesto? For it's written as we go on; go forth. We have set expectations.
I'll just let the rotten things flow out; discard, have you. Count the blessings; and the saintly wishes granted on my ledger build. We could all be more grateful. But I have a hunch that there are some that want and want and don't receive...unfortunate I say. Use all senses and you will perceive.
So then the circle comes full; and the idea of balance is one that becomes blurred with the demands of so much social change. Lonesome yet beautiful. English syllables can't suffice descriptions of changes we feel. Age is one determinant of explicitness. Auld lange syne.
Let your soul love; but make sure to love your soul.

Inner Umi
So far and so close, these serendipitous things approach…
We fear the risks and take a step back from potential open corridors to above and beyond.
The world of a small world is minute indeed. Open the door to the unexplored, give it a shot. Love, be loved, and let it go when time is due. Time will heal and give once more.
I survived because I believed there was nothing I could not learn or wrap my finger around. Perhaps I was naïve; but fledgling ones who strive for light years are the only ones who might actually make it to that burning star.
My Umi told me to follow my own light. And my inner light taught me solo sheds the brightest might.
Small world, Harvest moons, and serendipitous accounts…when the world speaks to you in code, those tendrils are more perceptive than we think they are. Follow that gut feeling…follow that intuition.
Let’s not be afraid of what the cosmos have collided to.
