I promise you I will try harder to be better. I have battled with things inside me for longer than you know; I do not know what they are or why they are there, I only know they feel manageable, defeatable, when I am around you. -Tylor Knott Gregson

MooN
the moon glows, the sun shines
sometimes the clouds move slow
the flowers grow, the leaves fall
the graffiti's painted then removed from the wall
the tree's are tall, the grass gets cut
the waves crash the beach, the squirrel grabs the nuts
the lightning struck the thunder, the summer swallowed the spring
the winter was always windy, the weather was just a thing
strangers conversate about...no rain long drought
seeds sprout, bee's sting, birds sing, babies pout
rainbows and waterfalls...mountains in the sky
questions answered by questions that start off with the word why
seasons change, and everything hardly ever seems the same
some feel joy, some feel pain, the moth's get drawn to the flame
the purpose of life, will make you think twice, but for now will not be explained

Ethnically Ambiguous?
Am I ethnically ambiguous?
So I almost fell on the bus this morning on my way to work, but a nice gentleman with long grey dreads helped me find my seat. He literally reached out his hand for me to grab it (as I held tightly to my lunchbox). He looked at me and asked in Spanish, "Ere tu cubana?"...

I responded in like language, "No, Mexicana, pero tengo muchas ganas de visitar a Cuba. Tu?"
Dude: "Cubano" (with a smile)
Me: "De que parte eres?"...
Dude: "La Havana...y en donde tu trabaja?"

Dude: "La Havana...y en donde tu trabaja?"
Me: "En el hospital, y tu?"
Dude: "Sabia que tu trabajaba alli. Soy instructor fisico de educacion"...and we just chatted for a bit, quite delightful.
And so I'm getting off the bus, and we shake hands, "Fue un placer"...and he just puts his hand on my head and smiles. I'm like, oook, but mad cool guy. Anyhow, being as I can almost find anything I search for on the internets, I did...this is the guy I ran into this morning: http://angeldcuba.com/home.cfm Pretty distinguishable.

I'm sharing this because you just never know the path the person next to you has walked, and the encounter was, simply put...SINCERE, and impressionable.
Anyone want to join me for one of his next performances?!!

Blossoming
"And for a lot of us who didn’t get as kids what we needed to get from the people who were supposed to give it to us, we can’t really grow up until we find a way to give what we need to ourselves."
